¿Cuándo es necesario realizar una endodoncia?
Endodontics, also known as root canal treatment, is a procedure that removes infected or damaged dental pulp from inside the tooth, cleaning and sealing the root canals to preserve the tooth.
This treatment is necessary when the dental pulp is irreversibly affected by deep cavities, trauma, fractures, or infections that cause persistent pain, extreme sensitivity, tooth discoloration, or abscess formation.
Most teeth can be treated with endodontic therapy. However, some teeth with severe fractures, severely damaged roots, or insufficient bone support may not be candidates for the treatment.
Root canal treatment is also the appropriate procedure to eliminate the infection causing the abscess and save the affected tooth.
¿Cómo se realiza un tratamiento de endodoncia?

Finally, they are filled with gutta-percha, and the tooth is sealed with a temporary or permanent restoration.
